Chocolate Joy

Healthy twist on an Almond Joy














Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of organic coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of Hershey Dark Cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons of Hershey Cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons of Ideal Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon no stir almond butter
  • 2 tablespoon of dates
  • 1/3 cup of almonds
  • 1/2 cup all natural unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 cup of milk (almond milk, 1% etc.)
  • 3 scoops of unflavored protein powder

On medium heat, add the coconut oil and the rest of the ingredients in a saucepan. Continue to stir until thickens. Should take about 5-8 minutes.  Turn off heat and allow to cool for a minute. Then transfer the chocolate into a mold (make sure to spray the mold with pam spray) or place the chocolate on foil (like you would for cookies).

Place the chocolate in the fridge until hardens, bag it up, and freeze it.

It taste way...better when it is cold.
